An intruder dog broke into a couple’s house in Tennessee and tried to snuggle them to death.

Dogs are nothing unusual for Julie and Jimmy Johnson. Their three dogs sleep in their bed at home in southeast Tennessee every night. An unknown dog had shimmied itself between the couple when they woke up.

The confusion Julie felt was understandable since she assumed it was one of their three dogs, Hollis, Jupiter, or Zeppelin. However, as she was rolling over to see Jimmy in bed with her, she found an unknown kind of dog lying beside them.

After getting accustomed to the strange dog, they had no difficulty realizing that it was not a threat as they called it, but more of a cuddle bug – even putting the Johnsons on either side of their huge bed.

Seeing the dog and realizing it was probably being taken care of by its owners, Julie took a selfie to capture the strange and funny situation. Her friends were asked if anyone recognized the dog in a post on Facebook that she called “the weirdest thing I have ever done”.

A person soon contacted Julie announcing they were the dog’s owner. Nala, the dog, became lost in the woods the previous day as thunderstorms raged nearby. She had slipped out of her collar on a walk and ventured into the woods. Within a few minutes of the photo verification, Nala’s mom was headed to get her.

All four dogs have since played together — cementing the fact that they are no longer strangers.
